(Life is calming down. Should be getting back to my regular activity)
Anabelle looked in concern at her at Bianca stumbled backwards. Out if the corner of her eye she saw Cory shake his head but he seemed to be fine after the moment so she turned back to Bianca who was insisting she was fine.
"No, you're not." She said, echoing Cory's comment and kneeling by her. Her eyes went towards the shadows and the flickering lights and her hand instinctively went to her sword. She nodded in response to Cory. She placed her hands on the girls shoulder and arm and said, "Bianca, it's ok. Look at me. You've got to calm down. Just breathe." She looked up at Cory who was making the shadows disappear. "Cory, what's going on?" She asked, though she wasn't sure if she would immediately get an answer or if he even had a complete idea. She turned her attention to Bianca, continuing to try to keep her calm as Percy ran up. Her eyes went back and forth between them for a moment. "You know her?"

Cory shook his head in response to Anabelle, he couldn't stop muttering the Greek or the shadows would come back. Percy looked at Annabeth and said, "This is impossible, she can't be here, she died in the junk yard of the gods when we were 14. She died, I know she died. I felt the regret of letting her go into that machine until she talked to me."
Bianca took Anabelle's advice about breathing and the shadows' powers became weaker, but she remained glaring daggers at Percy. Memories were flooding back into her mind as she remembered dying. She remembered talking to her brother and Percy as a ghost. She even remembered when she had been a Hunter of Artemis. What she couldn't remember was how she got here now, as a living demigod, and why she hated Percy Jackson so much.
Cory began to slow the Greek mutterings and then he said one final statement and breathed in. The shadows absorbed into his hands and he stepped back one step to embrace their momentum and then put his hands down weakly. He turned back to the others and said, "She doesn't have control over her powers. If she gets upset like that again I may not be able to control it. Powers driven by emotion are dangerous," he looked back to Bianca and then to Percy and said, "this is Bianca di' Angelo? She's dead though. I've trained with her in archery before down in the underworld. This can't be her, she was sweet and kind and she always talked about her brother and the quest she went on with you. She had no regrets about being dead. How can she be here now?"
Percy shook his head and a shadow of the coming twilight passed over his face and he said, "Cory, you know more about the underworld and its potential to do crazy stuff more than I do, but is this even possible? I know rebirth is but a complete resurrection of a person possible?"
Cory shook his head in confusion, "No...unless you are a god it's not possible."
"Now that is where you are wrong, Cory Jason. It is not possible by Greek Magic. Good think I have got a little more up my sleeve." Dust swirled around in a small spiral and formed into an outline of a man.
Cory grit is teeth, "Erik. You did this."
Erik laughed and said, "Of course! I needed someone on the inside of the camp. Bianca was perfect. I could resurrect her and wipe her memories completely. Only problem was if someone she knew from her other life saw her, her memories would come back. Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase just had to come and ruin my plans. Just my luck the two biggest heroes of the gods were here."
Percy uncapped Riptide and said, "You had to know Logan would recognize her. So why even send someone from the Great Prophecy's past to be your inside eye?"
Erik grinned and said, "Because someone already dead is so much easier to dispose of," he waved his arm over the demigods and Bianca crumbled, "there, you see? She's got about a day more of life when she wakes up. I don't know what she'll be like back in the underworld so I recommend making the most of it." He laughed and the dust spiraled again and when it cleared, the outline was gone.
Cory lunged to catch Bianca and cursed, "I should've known. I'm sorry Percy."
Percy just threw his sword toward where the spiral disappeared and it stuck into the ground and then turned to Annabeth, but not looking at her, "Gods! Why does this always happen to us!?"

Annabelle looked from Bianca to Percy and back to Bianca again. She asked the obvious question by saying, "Then...how is she here? I mean, in the flesh? Coming back to life...that's impossible. And yet...here she is." She looked closely at Bianca who didn't look at all happy with Percy. "Bianca, what is it?" She asked softly. The shadows were getting weaker, probably due to not only Cory but the fact that Bianca was calming down. If her emotions were tied to what just happened, they'd have to make sure she stayed that way.
She glanced up at Cory as he absorbed the shadows and her body relaxed just slightly. "Then we make sure she doesn't have any emotional outbursts. At least till we figure out more about this." She listened to them for a moment, still crouched in her position by Bianca. How indeed... She thought silently as she tried to remember anything she might have read or heard about that would explain this. But nothing came to mind. And if even Cory wasn't sure, it wasn't likely that she would.
"Well, can a god do to it someone else? They're the only ones even likely to have this kind of power." Her question went unanswered though because before anyone could respond, Erik appeared. Of all people to show up. Annabelle was on her feet instantly, her hand instinctively going to the sword at her waist. So this was Erik. She remembered Marcus mentioning him when he'd threatened her and Cory and almost killed her boyfriend. Neither were exactly at the top of her favorite people list.
The shock on her face was obvious as Erik's words dawned on her. "Bianca!" After Cory caught her, she gently took her from him and kelt on the ground, drawing her into her lap. She brushed a strand of Bianca's hair out of her eyes, a stormy look in her own. "So she's not alive. She's not really here. And I'm...I'm guessing there's nothing we can do? No way to stop it?" Her question was half-rhetorical. She had actually started to like the girl. And she knew she would liked the version of her that Cory described. If the news hurt her, it had to be so much more so for Percy and Annabeth, who knew her before, and Cory who had met her in the Underworld.m
"Look, I hate to ask the obvious question...again...but setting the matter of Bianca aside for a second, what plan does Erik need a spy in camp for? And what does that mean for us?" She hated to bring it up right in that moment, but she decided to go ahead and be that person and say it anyway.

Cory's head fell for a moment and he said, "This is all because of me. Erik was the guy in charge of me back when I was a bounty hunter. He assigned me to retrieve someone to bring back to him. I found out it wasn't a mission assigned by the League but Erik had brainwashed me enough back then that I went on the mission anyways. The person I was meant to find was a demigod. A ROMAN demigod. I'd already seen the camps' locations before so I knew where I would look first. The person I was looking for was Aaron Pontius, Son of Pluto. Aaron is Erik's younger half-brother."
Percy sat down next to Annabelle in frustration and listened as Cory talked. Annabeth kneeled next to Percy and then put her hand on Bianca's forehead, checking her temperature as Cory told the story.
Cory turned away from the four demigods and said, "The only catch was, Aaron was a demigod and Erik was a mortal. Aaron had the powers of the gods but Erik was just one of a million and Erik loathed his brother for that. When Aaron got to live at the Roman camp and train to be a hero, Erik was furious and kind of went insane with vengeance. I was going to be his hired gun to bring Aaron back to him to be tortured but something happened to me and that's kind of how I ended up meeting Annabeth and Percy. I had a moment of clarity and saw what I was doing wasn't right. This was all before I even knew I was a demigod, and that's the only reason Erik took me under his wing, because he thought I was a mortal with great combat skills as well. When he found out I left the League without finishing this mission he assigned me and that I was a demigod, I just got added to his list of people he wanted revenge on. Some how...some god or goddess took HIM under their wing and gave him some sort of dark powers and now he learned how to resurrect people and he's just...so powerful. This is all because I couldn't fulfill that mission. If I had though, Aaron would be living a life of hell. But now, Bianca is reliving her death," He kicked the ground and said, "Not to mention he's somehow got Marcus involved, meaning two of my worst enemies are out to get me, one of which almost succeeded in killing me."
Percy glanced at Annabelle and Annabeth before he stood and walked over to Cory and put his hand on his shoulder, "None of this is your fault Cory. Erik is insane, you said it yourself. It's his fault for bringing Bianca back, for wanting to kill his own brother, and for bringing Marcus back into the fight. We can't control what he does, but we sure as hell can fight it. We're going to try to keep Bianca alive. She deserve that much. We'll worry about Erik and Marcus later, but for now we need to see if any Romans here know a way to keep her alive."
Bianca moaned quietly in Annabelle's arms when she heard her name and shivered ever so slightly.

Arabella was silent as Cory spoke, her face a mask of concentration. She knew a little about Cory's past but there had never been a reason to bring it up so her knowledge of it was limited and this was obviously completely new to her.
Her eyes darkened slightly as she was reminded of Cory's almost death. It wasn't a pleasant memory for either of them. "Percy's right." She said a few moments later and she would have gone to him had Bianca not been in her arms. She half-wished she wasn't. "Those were Erik's choices, not yours. You have no control over them." She looked down as Bianca moaned and Anabelle hugged her closer, gently running a hand over her forehead to quiet her. She stood up with Bianca in her arms. The girl was surprisingly light. "Then let's go find them." She said. Her eyes had a faraway look in them. What if there wasn't anything anyone could do? No, she refused to even think of it for right now. There had to be something. There had to be.

Cory took a deep breath and gave the smallest nod. Percy knelled and bent down over Anabelle, "Okay, I'll take her from here. Annabeth and I are going to take her back to Logan's apartment, will you and Cory go find Logan and a medic? And...uh...maybe get a hold of Nico Di'Angelo if you can? But it might be better to hear it from me." He placed his arms under Bianca's legs and back and stood, carrying her bridal style and looked over at Annabeth with concern watering his eyes and without saying another word, the two of them took of jogging towards New Rome.
Cory walked over to Anabelle and quietly offered a hand to help her up. "I'm sorry," he said, finally beginning to see the emotional strain his problems were putting on Anabelle, "I'm sorry that you are dating such a hot mess like me." They really did need to find someway to get away from it all. But first they needed to save Bianca.

Anabelle nodded and gently passed Bianca over to him. "Of course. We'll find all three and Nico...we won't tell him anything. You're right, it would be better if he heard it from you. We'll be there as soon as we can." She took zcory's hand and stood up, brushing off her jeans. Her eyes softened as she saw the worry and guilt in his eyes. "Shh." She said. "I may be the type that wears her heart on her sleeve a little bit, but I'm stronger than I look, remember? I'm ok, I promise."
She cupped his face with her hands. "Cory Jason, there is no one in the world that I would choose over you, no matter how simple or peaceful their life is. I don't care how messed up you think you are. I love you because you're you and that includes all the rough edges and cracks. There is no one I would rather be with." She gave him a smile and lightly kissed him. "Right now, we need to focus on saving Bianca. But let's make an agreement. When all this is over, no matter how it turns out, we get away from here. Go somewhere where there's no Erik, no Marcus, no one trying to throw our lives into turmoil. We'll figure out a way to." She stood up straighter. "Now, we have people to find. Come on." She said and ran out of the shop.

Cory gave a small smile, relief flooding over him and followed her out in search of Logan. "He's probably by the Senate or his apartment or leading some sort of training exercise. Where do you want to check first?"
**
Percy panted slightly as he jogged as carefully as he could toward Logan's apartment. When they arrived at the door he glanced at Annabeth from the corner of his eye and smirked slightly "I -uh- forgot to give you the key. It's in my back pocket. I would get it but my hands are full."
