Enjoying the Sand

Willow sat idly on the sand of the beautiful beach at the camp. It had been a little while since she felt the warm sand, and thought that today could be a rest day for her. The only time she moved from her spot was to walk along the water when it was looking particularly inviting and to go eat lunch. The sun almost ready to start setting and she started to feel sad at the thought of leaving for the day. Her hands were tracing patterns in the sand as she mindlessly changed the color of her flip flops. She was debating whether to go to dinner or just sit on the beach for the rest of the day. She decided to stay when her shoes turned blue and she started tracing hearts in the sand.

Alex walked down the beach, and spotted Willow. He smiled, and brushed his blond hair out of his eyes. "Hey, Willow!" He sat down beside her, and laughed. "Nice flips."

"Oh!" Willow said, surprised by her sudden company. She looked to her side to see Alex, and smiled shyly. "Thanks, Alex."

[Magicman]

Alex nodded. "Your welcome. I wish I had powers like yours....I could conjure a cookie anytime I wanted!" His relationship with Willow was an interesting one in his mind. He didn't know if he should call her a friend, best friend, acquaintance... All he remembered of her was from Todd's memories.

Willow laughed lightly. She did feel comfortable around Alex, but she didn't know exactly where it came from. She assumed from Todd, but who knows what else it could be.

"Do you want one now?" She asked. Her tone translated to teasingly, but she was kind of serious about her question.

[Magicman]

"Cookies....the greatest gift in mankind! If you could conjure a cookie, then it'd make me the happiest demigod in the world!" He raised his arms, and laughed. "Being a child of Hecate must be fun sometimes."

[willowtree]

"It definitely is!" Willow smiles widely as she pulled a chocolate chip cookie from thin air. She hands it to Alex. "Here you go." She then conjured one for herself and took a bite.

[Magicman]

Alex's eyes widened, as he took the cookie. "I can see why Todd liked you so much, you're awesome!" He took a bite of the cookie and moaned with delight.

[willowtree]

"Yeah..." she nodded idly. It was weird trying to get used to the fact that Alex was basically Todd, even if the did look the same. "About that... What do you remember about me? You know, from Todd?"

[Magicman]

Alex thought for a moment. "Some fuzzy things, you know. I remember riding on pegasi over the country, and swimming in the ocean." He paused. "I also remember the day he met you..." He looked in her eyes, and reconized them from his past life.

"Really? You can remember when he and I first met?" Willow was pleasantly surprised by this, but she didn't want to get her hopes up.

[Magicman]

Alex nodded. "Yeah, that's the only vivid memory I have. Well, that and his death....but I kinda enjoy the happier memory better." (I don't even remember when they met XD )

(I don't either! Really, I'd say the first encounter was in the arena or something like that, but there it sounded like they already knew each other... sort of.)

"Yeah, I guess the happier memory would be better," she couldn't help but mentally face palm at how idiotic that sounded. "But isn't that kinda odd you'd remember that rather than any other, probably happier, memory?"
