Amelia carried a large box in her hands as she entered The Big House. It was dance time! Of course, she had volunteered to help decorate. She loved helping out with stuff like that. The box was heavy, and weighed down on her relatively lean arms, and she had to stop every once in awhile to make sure it was secure, but she was fine.
The box had electronic equipment in it, and she definitely was not going to be the one responsible for dropping that stuff on the ground, and ruining the dance. The room was coming along nicely, and had one large, shiny snowflake in the center of the room, hanging from the ceiling, much like a disco ball would hang. White ribbons were starting to drape along where the ceiling and walls met, but there was still a long ways to go before it was ready.
She set the box on the table that would hold refreshments and snacks, and shook out of her arms, positive she had almost lost circulation. Not many people were there yet, and she thought more people had volunteered to help out. Hopefully they would show up.

Anabelle, her arms full with boxes of refreshments entered the Big House. It was her first Prom, but she wasn't going to have a date to this one. Cory wasn't going to be able to make it. No one else had asked, and she doubted she would have said yes anyway.
"Hey Amelia." She set the boxes on the table, everything wrapped in plastic wrap to keep it fresh.

Cody walked out of the closet, his arms full of wires for the sound system. He couldn't even see over them. "Gods, I can't see!" He made a human size shadow to guide him to the table. Once he set things down, he noticed the two girls. "Oh, hey. You guys helping too?" He untangled the wires off his torso and arms, shaking them off into the box. "So...you either of you have dates? No ones asked me."

"Yeah, I'm helping. And no, I don't. Cory can't come, so I probably won't be having a date this time."

Cody shrugged. "I could take you. I'm not like in love with you or anything, but we could go as friends." He gave a crooked smile. "Just hope Cory won't beat me up if you do say yes."

Anabelle gave a smile. "Sure, but just as friends. This NOT a date. Cory will beat you up if you start liking it." She said, with a playful smile.

Amelia smiled and nodded in acknowledgement towards Anabelle. "Hey, Anabelle," she said as she pulled out a knotted mass of wires and cables. She worked her fingers through them, feeling for an end so she could start untangling. Or, they could just have the giant ball of electronic stuff be plugged into the DJ booth. Yeah, that was totally an option - if it didn't ruin the circuit system and burst into flames.
She turned around and noticed Cody, and gave him a smile when he greeted the girls, before her bright blue eyes returned their focus to the cords. "Um, yeah, probably. I'll probably go with Jackson," she said happily, without looking up from her job.
She tuned out the other two when they started a conversation, not feeling in the mood to eavesdrop, or feel like she would get any useful information out of it. Besides, that would just be rude. So she stood there, occasionally tosses a blonde strand of hair behind her shoulder, as she continued untangling cords.

"Cool! Here, I can help." She reached for the mass of cords, and began untangling them "Gods, this is a mess."
