Kegan rolled down the hill. Year #4, he thought. I wonder if this year is better. Keegan just kept on going, as the new campers stared and gawked at him. They looked away red-facedly, but the feelings there. The older campers got used to him, but they still were surprised he was in it. Oh, please, he thought. Over the winter, my legs are magically going to work again! That'll be the day. He went on and made it to basketball court. "Can I play?" he asked. He always loved their expressions. "Uhh... um..." one said. "Sure." An Apollo kid picked him for his team. Probably out of pity. A kid from Ares laughed. "Classic! Give "Wheely" the ball Jeff." A Hermes kid (Jeff, probably) punched the Ares in the arm. "Shut up, Rex." He passed the ball to Keegan. "Let's see whatcha got," Rex said.

"OK," Keegan said. He wasn't phased by Rex. He took the ball, dribbled it on the side of his chair, and swerved around kids. They didn't see it coming, so many of them fell. Keegan swerved, side to the basket, and threw the ball in without looking. When it got nothing but net, Rex's jaw dropped to the ground. The Apollo kid who picked him (Sunny, was his name (Oh the irony!)), patted him on the back and put him in as shooting gaurd. It went on like this for another hour. By that time everyone was sweating there asses off. "Done so soon?" Keegan laughed. His team won 40 to 13. Keegan wanted to get settled in anyway, so he said goodbye to his new aquantinces. They were fond of Keegan after a mere hour (except for Rex).

Akito was sitting against the pine tree on the top of Half-Blood Hill. He had just arrived a few days ago. The days spent in Camp Half-Blood were so far, relaxing. He watched as a boy in a wheelchair rolled past him. No one ever noticed a loner like himself. He leaned his head back against the bark and closed his eyes, listening to the sounds of nature. Maybe he would ask the guy's name later, probably not. He wasn't the kind of kid who just went up to someone randomly, or even talk to people really.
