"No, I really shouldn't have," Amelia protested. She desperately wanted to avoid all eye-contact with Jackson, but forced her blueish-grey eyes to remain gently focused on him. She was freaking doomed.

"Yeah," Amelia said softly and slowly. "And of course, you don't like me, right?" She usually wasn't insecure, but she had just probably ruined her chances with a guy, which to her, was a pretty good reason to feel a bit insecure, even if only for awhile.

Amelia's blueish-grey eyes widened in surprise. She wasn't expecting that. At all. Her look of surprise quickly turned into a grin. "You do?" she repeated, the shock was rather evident in her tone.

Amelia gave him a reassuring smile. "We're all different. We're demigods," she reminded him. "I'm getting tired of just treading water. Let's go back to the shore." She submerged herself, then swam to the shore. Her clothes dripped water as she sat down in the sand.

Jackson ran up to the shore and sat down beside her. His black plaid shorts were soaked, but his black t-shirt and converse were dry since they were ashore. "We might as well get back to our cabins before harpies show up, you know, past curfew."

Jackson laughed with her. "I'd say....yeah, sealed with a kiss. I gotta get back to my cabin, I'll see you tomorrow." Just for Grins and and Giggles, he pecked her on the cheek, then ran back to his cabin.

Amelia smiled as he pecked her on the cheek and then left. She sat there for a few more minutes, staring the water, before getting up to head back to her cabin.
