Bianca gave a small nod, "Well I'm a peculiar case. I just got here about a day ago. My father is Pluto. But this isn't my first time fighting with other demigods...I think." She rubbed her head as if trying to recall something but she shrugged, "But I don't remember, weird."
***
Alistair chuckled, "That it does. So you're turning 16 soon. That'll be fun. You have anything planned for your...ah...what do girls call it?..."
Annabeth sat down in a comfy chair and leaned back for a moment before laughing again, "Sweet Sixteen?"
He nodded, "Oh yeah, that's it. So you have anything fun planned for your Sweet Sixteen?" Just then someone knocked on the door Alistair excused himself before opening the back door to the two new guests. Alistair went a little pale as Percy came in with Cory and he chuckled slightly, "Hey Perce, long time no see."
Percy gave a face to Annabeth, which she replied with a shrug and the Percy smiled to Alistair, "Yeah, I think the last time I saw you was when I kicked your butt for flirting with my girlfriend. I hope you learned your lesson."
Alistair chuckled, "Uh, yeah, you could say that." He returned to measuring Anabelle, a silence having falled upon him as he focused on his work.
Cory walked over to Annabeth and sat down next to her, watching Alistair work and avoiding Anabelle's eye contact, "So what have you girls been up to?"
"Nothing really, when Alistair was done we were going to get hot chocolate. You guys could join us," Annabeth smiled as she watched the guys come in. Percy smirked and said, "I showed you that place Wise Girl."

Kathy gave her a curious look. "That is weird. Any idea why you'd have memory loss?"
*****
Anabelle laughed. "Yeah, Sweet Sixteen. No, nothing yet. I haven't really thought about it. Probably something with Cory for part of it." She replied then looked over Percy and Cory came in.
She gave Cory a smile but he seemed to be avoiding her eyes and she looked at him curiously for a brief moment. "Yeah, we should be close to done. Right?" She asked, glancing at Alastair.

Bianca laughed, "Oh, yeah I've got plenty of reasons. Could be trauma from being abandoned by my friends. But that was a long time ago and I'm over it. I've got a better life now. So how far away is this armor fitting guy?"
***
Alistair smiled and said, "Yeah. I'm done now. You can pick up your armor in the morning and report to the Senate to be placed with a Cohort to train with temporarily. Logan and Gina should be able to get it all sorted out for you. I'll see you guys later then." He gave a mock salute and a grabbed Anabelle's hand and gave it a light kiss and a bow, "Until tomorrow, my lady." He then turned on his heal and went into the back of the shop again.
Annabeth and Percy laughed and gave each other a knowing glance before Annabeth said, "He's such a big teasing goofball." Percy took a slight glance at Cory who was staring blankly after Alistair, surprised he didn't go after him and punch him like he normally would. But he shrugged and wrapped an arm around Annabeth's waist and said, "So we'll be off then! We'll wait outside for you guys."
Cory gave a small nod, still zoned out in the spot Alistair disappeared, not really having noticed his flirting towards Anabelle. He wringed his hands and looked down as the two older demigods left him and Anabelle alone.

Kathy's eyes widened. "Woah. Well, that's good at least." She paused a moment. "He's not far. Just a little ways that way." She replied and pointed ahead of her. "I can show you if you want."
***** "Awesome, I'll make sure to do that. Thanks Alastair." Anabelle said and jumped down to the floor, tucking a strand of her blond hair behind her ear. She rolled her eyes good naturedly at him at his flirting. "Uh...yeah, tomorrow." She replied, shaking her head at him and glanced at Cory who was still zoned out.
"Yeah, I can tell." She replied, watching Alastair disappear to the back of the shop. She looked back over at her boyfriend. "And...uh, yeah, okay, we'll be out in a minute." But she was no longer really paying attention to them as they left the shop. She had suspected something wasn't quite right before but know she was sure as she looked at Cory.
After a moment, she sat down next to him with a tinge of concern in her eyes. He just wasn't acting like himself. "You okay?" She asked softly, already knowing yes wouldn't be his answer, or at least the truthful one.

Bianca gave a small nod, "Yeah, I'll want at least basic armor if I want to stay alive. Anything to just get started with the training. I'm so excited for the War Games."
***
Cory looked up and looked at her for a moment before tears started welling up in his eyes and he shook his head lightly, "I...I just can't handle it any more. All this pressure and all the power that came with finding out my locked powers from Uranus. I feel invincible but so empty and alone when I loose control with it. I don't want it anymore. I wish things could go back the way they used to be. Before I left for Greece and even before I found out I was a demigod. I wish I had never left the Bounty Hunters. I wouldn't have Erik on my back and I wouldn't be so worried about the Camps."
He looked away slightly and said, "If I had never come around, River would still be the camp's big shot, he'd still be with Valerie and he wouldn't be off to gods know where trying to heal. Because we all know he's just running away from his duty as a child of the Big Three because he can't handle it yet. He never would have left if I had never come and the Camp would be protected so much more than it is. Hell, I wouldn't have cared about the camp if I had never been claimed."
He looked down and shadows came across his face. Tears fell from his chin and were lit by the dimming sun through the windows as they hit the ground. He was at his breaking point. If he broke, there would be no fixing, but if he past this and could accept it all, he would be able to stand tall again and feel important again.

"Yeah, basic armor is a must. Follow me." Kathy replied and set off. "I'm really excited too. The War Games will be the best." (Maybe pause it for a minute till Anabelle and Cory are done?)
*****
Anabelle quietly listened, a tear in her own eye at the sight of Cory's. It hurt her to see him like this, near the point of breaking. And she was going to do what she always did. Stand right by his side.
"Hey." She said softly. She reached for him, gently turning his head a few degrees so he was facing her more. She blinked back her tear and was silent a moment more before speaking again. "Maybe part of you wishes things could go back to the way they used to be, but not all of you does." She gave a soft smile. "At least I hope not." She took a deep breath. "I don't know what things would be like if you hadn't come around. I don't know where everyone would be, or what would and wouldn't have happened. But I know one thing." She pulled his hand into hers. "We wouldn't have this. Maybe it's selfish of me to say it but right now..I don't really care. I don't know where I would be if you had never come around. But I know I'd rather be here."
"I know you don't want your powers. And I wish I could do something about it." She paused. "I don't know what I can do. I've always been better at coming up with a battle-strategy or knowing every fact there is to know about a certain topic." She looked at him, thinking briefly back at all the memories she had of him. "But the fact is, we are here. You did leave the about Bounty Hunters and you did come around. And I for one, am glad that you did. This is going to sound like the most typical thing to say, but...we'll figure it out. I mean, where else do I have to be? I'm not going anywhere, so you're kind of stuck with me." She said with another small smile. "And while you are, you'll get past this. We'll figure out a way, no matter how hard it is, because I can be kind of stubborn. You'll get control again, I promise. I love you, I always will, and I'll do whatever it takes to make this better." She leaned forward and softly gave him a kiss.

(sure, they're suppose to run into Cory or something right as Anabelle and him are leaving)
Cory's grip tightened on her hand and when she kissed him, he brought his free hand up to her face and brushed away a strand of blonde hair. When he pulled back he leaned his forehead on Anabelle's and gave a faint smile. He then brought his other hand up and cupped her face in his two hands and brought her lips to his again and deepened the kiss, much like what he did in the infirmary earlier that day.
He brought his right hand down, resting it behind her on the small it of her back and pulled her closer to him, to the point of where there was no space between them. He broke away for a moment and wiped his tears away with his left hand, his right still resting on her lower back. He looked down into her eyes and grabbed one of her hands with his left and brought it up to his lips, kissing it ever so lightly and said softly, "What would I ever do without you by my side? I love you, Anabelle Teague, because you make this all worth living. You and your battle-strategies and knowing all the facts about the stuff you love. I love you for all of this and more. Never let me think I would've had it better without you."
He brought lips close to hers and smiled before pressing them against hers again, softly but passionately. He pressed on the small of her back and wrapped his arm around her waist, lifting her off the ground slightly and spinning her in a circle before he set her down and pulled away, just enough to speak again through gasping breath, "Maybe we shouldn't do this right here...after all that poor kid saw us doing this earlier. We wouldn't want to be interrupted again like that." He grinned cheekily and as he kissed her nose, he removed his hands from her waist and grabbed her hands, entwining his fingers in hers, loving the feeling of holding her hand.

She leaned into his kiss, and for a moment, forgot about everything else. Gods, she loved him, more than words could ever hope to describe. More than she thought she was capable of, more than than how much she thought ever would love someone. She smiled softly as he pulled her closer to him, and slid her arm under his to wrap it around him. She looked back into his eyes as he spoke and smiled again. "I love you more." She whispered. "And I don't know what I would do without you. I never hoped to imagine my life would look like this. And I wouldn't change a thing."
She kissed him back, half-breathless at being with him. A soft laugh escaped her as he spun her around and her eyes were bright with happiness. "Very, very true." She replied as she returned his grin. She leaned her forehead against his, watching him entwine his fingers in hers. "Guess we need to find a better spot then." She said and pulled back but still held onto his hand as she grinned at him.

Cory grinned and pecked her cheek before looking towards the door, the fading evening light shining through the cracks, and started heading to it as he rubbed his thumb across Anabelle's hand. A few feet before they got to it, it opened revealing the silhouette of two girls chatting about the War Games.
Bianca laughed and said, "So what Cohorts get the fort this time? I want to get a group together to strategize a siege if I need to. I'm sure anyone would be willing to join my party after that little mishap with that legionnaire earlier." She bumped into Anabelle on the way out and stopped for a moment, looking back at her and said, "You look like someone I know...are you a child of Athena?"
Cory glanced back at the two girls, one of which has just asked Anabelle a question and he tightened his grip on Anabelle's hand slightly and glanced at her eyes, giving a clear warning sign. He was alarmed that a Roman camper used Greek names for the gods, even if this person was new, they wouldn't mention Athena. Or Minerva for that matter.

Anabelle followed him with a soft happy smile on her face. She loved this time of day when the sun was starting to fade and she loved the feel of Cory's hand in hers even more. She tore her gaze away from her boyfriend when the door opened and two girls entered. She thought nothing of it for a moment, hearing bits and pieces of their conversation about the War Games.
"Here we are. Anything in terms of armor that you could possibly need you can get here." Kathy said and opened the door. She let Bianca pass before entering herself and saw a boy and girl a few feet ahead of them. Boyfriend and girlfriend probably, based on the way they were holding hands. She thought a moment as Bianca asked her question. "I forget who gets it. The guy in here will probably know. After that mishap, I'm sure." She replied. A glimmer of surprise appeared on her face at Bianca's question, mostly at the mention of Athena. That was the Greek name, not Roman.
Anabelle paid little attention as the girl bumped into her but she looked back as the girl spoke to her. She felt Cory's hand tighten on hers and saw the warning glance he gave her. She knew what he was thinking and she subconsciously took a step closer to him. The girl shouldn't have used the Greek name for her mother, not here. And she wasn't sure why she was even asking in the first place. Anabelle couldn't remember ever seeing the girl before. She took a moment to respond. "Who are you?" Anabelle asked, ignoring the girl's question. "And...why did you use the Greek name?" Her tone was not accusing but nor was it friendly. More...blunt and straightforward.

Cory's hand was on his sword hilt, ready if any sign of danger were to come and he looked at Kathy, who seemed just as surprised as he was.
Bianca didn't answer the question at first as she zoned out for a moment, a vision flashing before her of a dreary old military school and a cliff side. A battle was happening around her, a bunch of teenagers were fighting against a monster. The monster lunged at two of these kids, both with jet black hair but the girl had blue eyes and the boy had green. In a flash she saw a blonde girl leap on the monster's back and arrows were fired through the air at the beast, it wailed and jumped off the cliff into darkness below, the girl still on it's back. She heard the boy with black hair run towards the cliff and yell after them and her vision faded to mist. As she regained her bearings a look of confusion and fear flashed across her face, it was like that whole scene happened only days ago. She thought to herself Pull yourself together...Eric said this would happen, just keep cool and stick to the plan. She gave a small smile and said, "Bianca Waverly, Daughter of Pluto," she glanced towards Cory and said, "We met earlier, sorta, in the infirmary. Aaron introduced us." She looked to Anabelle again and said, "You were asleep. And I don't use Greek names for anyone other than Athena. It's my way of paying respect to her. She's Greek, not Roman, so why should I use a name that isn't her's? I've always admired the brains of children of Athena, I just didn't know she had any staying at this camp."
Cory glanced at Anabelle again, noticing Bianca's slight panic. He then tightened his grip on his hilt and said, "If you're new here, how do you know all this stuff about Athena's issues with Rome and about the other camp?"
Bianca replied, almost automatically, "My brother has told me all about it." She blinked and thought Where did that come from? I don't have a brother... She added, "Also, your praetor Logan informed me about all the lineages and the differences with the Greeks and Romans. Not to mention I've met a few demigods before I came here." She tried to appear as calm as possible but she was really panicking, where was this stuff about a brother coming from? And what was that vision all about? The girl on the monster sure looked a heck of a lot like this girl in front of me and if that's true, then she should be dead or in serious trouble.

(imsorryimsorryimsorry. no, it hasn't been almost two months since you posted. I refuse to believe that....)
Anabelle noticed Bianca's panic as she answered and she watched the girl closely. She still wasn't exactly sure what to make of her but she noticed Cory's wariness of her as she glanced at her boyfriend briefly a couple of times. Bianca's story made sense but like Cory had pointed out, how had she known if she was new? Not everyone knew about her mother's issues with Rome. While she didn't touch her weapon, her hand still stayed loose by her side, should she need to use it at a momenf's notice. She saw how Cory's hand was tightly on the hilt of his.
There was just something off about the girl. Anabelle couldn't quite place it but there was something. The way she mentioned her brother, her added explanation after. None of it put Anabelle at ease and she glanced briefly at Cory again. "Really? Where are you from?" Anabelle asked with what might have been taken as innocent curiosity.
(And this turned out short...*sigh*)

Bianca paused a few moments, as if she couldn't remember and her face went blank before she seemed to snap back to the present and said, "Oh, I never really lived anywhere. I've kind of always wandered around since I can remember. I lived in the desert for a while though." She gave a faint smile but there was darkness etching it's way into her features, her powers were showing slightly, her powers over the darkness and the dead.
Cory released his grip, if he was going to get anywhere with this girl he had to calm down. He held out his hand "I'm Cory Jason. Son of Nyx. I'm sort of like you too, I've always wandered around until this one grounded me to one place." He teasingly poked Anabelle in the ribs and then put his arm around her, "Well, only sort of grounded me."
Bianca shook it and looked Cory up and down, so this was the guy that Marcus and Erik were talking about. He doesn't seem like much, just your average demigod. She smiled and said, "As said before, I'm Bianca. Pluto's daughter. From what I know, I don't have any real powers, maybe just able to talk to dead or something. Who knows? But I'm excited to train here." She eyed Anabelle for a moment, still confused as to why she recognizes her, "Are you sure that we haven't met?" Her head was aching like something was trying to be noticed, but she knew to tread safe waters otherwise she'll expose Erik and blow her cover.
Cory nodded to Bianca's replies and glanced toward New Rome, hoping to see Percy or Annabeth coming to look for them, but no sign of them yet.

Anabelle still wasn't sure what to think of her and she couldn't decide if she liked her not. Bianca seemed friendly enough but there was just something about her, something she couldn't quite put her finger on. However, she shrugged the feeling off for a moment. She couldn't start getting paranoid. Yet, it was also odd how it took Bianca a few seconds to answer the question. Didn't she know where she was from? And that smile...Anabelle gave the slightest shake of her head. Cory was clearly calming down, she needed to do exactly the same thing. She broke out into a smile. "Yeah, he's a hard one to pin down."
Anabelle nodded as Bianca continud. Everything else about her seemed typical enough. "Yeah, it's great place to train." She said absentmindely. She took one more long, hard look at Bianca, trying to recal any memory at all of her but there was nothing. Anabelle shook her head. "No, I don't know why you recognize me but we've never met. I'm sure of that. Maybe you've met someone I know and they happened to mention me or something. I don't know." She finally said, grasping at some sort of explanation for as to why Bianca seemed convinced they'd met. She couldn't say she really liked the fact she did. There was some reason why Bianca thought she recognized her but there was most likely a perfectly good explanation somewhere,
She glanced towards the door and much to her relief, Annabeth poked her head to make sure she and Cory were still here. A slightly quizzical look appeared in her dace as she looked at the four.

Bianca scratched her head and said, "I'm sorry if I'm freaking you out or anything, I just could've sworn I.." she trailed off as she caught sight of Anabelle. The image of the girl and the monster falling off the cliff flashed through her mind and she stumbled backward, landing on the ground, her head aching as she saw flashes of silver and young girls and then a wooded area with cabins. And a boy. A small, young boy with cards and little figurines. A name came to her mind and she said under her breath, loud enough that one might hear "Nico..."
Cory saw Bianca stumble back and he suddenly felt very weak as he saw flashes of what seemed to be memories but he shook his head and they went away. He saw Bianca on the ground and called out, "Percy! Annabeth! Come quick!"
Bianca heard Percy's name and her gaze suddenly turned dark, "No, no I'm fine! I don't need help."
Cory responded, "Bianca, you're sick and you keep zoning out, you need help. Our friends can help you." He crouched down to her level, glancing up at Anabelle in confusion.
"No! I don't need his help! He's the reason I'm here!" Bianca suddenly didn't feel in control any more and the shadows around them began to grow and spread, some lights flickering out."
Cory noticed the shadows and said, "Anabelle, calm her down. Percy, Annabeth!" He stood up and took a defensive stance and raised his sword, muttering words in Ancient Greek, the shadows stopped moving and began to go away as the light returned, but he could feel them fighting his power.
Percy heard Cory calling and glanced at Annabeth before jogging out to where the four teenagers were, "Annabeth, do you know what's-" he stopped mid sentence when he saw Bianca and he said, "That's impossible...Bianca di'Angelo, you should be dead."
