River got up to the control room and looked out across the island that was Camp Norse. He gave a small smile and said, "Never thought I'd spend my 18th birthday away from Camp Half-blood...I'm actually ready to get this over with and go home. I wonder what everyone has been up to the past few months..." He had just finished his thought when there was a small poof heard behind him. He turned and found a small package on the map table. The young adult walked over to the table and examined the box. It had his name on it and there was no sender. He took the lid off and it revealed a small, pocket handy flashlight and pocket knife. He picked them up and examined them. He clicked the button on the flashlight to turn it on, but instead of a beam of light, the flashlight transformed, in the blink of an eye, to a brand new celestial bronze sword reinforce with Stygian iron. His eyes twinkled when he saw this and he swung it a few times. It was perfect for him, balance and look wise. The sheath for it had fastened itself to his side and he put it in.
He wore a nicer, button up hoodie/shirt and jeans. And over his shirt he wore a Greek toga cape (that part that is colored that goes over it), as he was representing his camp's participation in this. The new sword looked like it belonged on him. He then examined that pocket knife and found that it had a real flashlight on it and he chuckled. He looked out the window of the control room again and saw Vivi and Kyle approaching the ship and he looked at Tony, "Tell everyone over the intercom that we'll be departing soon. They'll want to know in case they've got some last minute stuff to do."
Kyle smiled at Vivi and said, "Well of course it's the right ones. Odin's been considering this for months and he's finally decided it's for the best. Thank the gods. He knew about all the other camps and still neglected to let us be in contact with them. It's so weird. It's not like we're any different...right?"

As they boarded the ship, she nodded. "Yeah, it is weird. I can't see why we would be that different. Sure, the Romans and Greeks share gods, just in different forms, but we're demigods just like them. Who knows with Odin? They always have some plan up their sleeve or another."

Tony smiled. "Well, happy birthday, dude." He looked at the package, watching him open it. "Seems as though someone remembered!" He strode over to the intercom and switched it on. "I've always wanted to do this.." He spoke into the microphone with a phony french accent. "Attention, dis is your capton schpeaking. We will be departing shortly." He hooked the mic back on the stand, and laughed. "This is going to be a fun journey." Jonas joined them in the control room. He wore a plain white, button down shirt, and khaki shorts. Running a hand through his unruly hair, he smirked. "Is that traditional Greek dress?" He asked, looking at River.

Katarina's foot stepped onto the ship's deck just as the departure announcement came on. She sighed in relief and quickly took in her surroundings. Everyone looked like they knew what to do and where to go. She shouldered her bag and wandered around the deck, trying to not knock into anyone.
"I basically just get here, and now the whole camp is moving to America. How fun?" she mumbled bitterly.

Kyle gave a grimace as he climbed some stairs and his face turned very pale. He leaned against the wall for minor support and his voice was clenched as he said, "Yeah...and I'm suppose to be the one that knows everything the gods decide and why. They won't even talk to me."
River smiled at Tony, "That it will be." He looked up from the charts at Jonas and smirked, "Just the cape. I am representing Camp Half-Blood. Plus, I want everyone to remember I'm not Norse, as much as it might disappoint them."

Overhearing the other girl as they passed her, Viv said, "It's a lot of change. But you'll get used to it. I just got back from being gone for years, so you're not the only one. It's the right move, though." She gave her a smile then turned back to Kyle, the girl forgotten once she looked at him.
She barely heard his comment. She sent a couple nearby campers hurrying away and then turned to face Kyle. "You didn't have me fooled back at camp and you don't have me fooled now. Tell me what's wrong and stop playing the tough guy act." Her voice was firm, but he wouldn't be able to miss the touch of concern and worry. Her eyes radiated it.

Kyle pulled his hood over his head when he stepped aboard the ship but he stopped dead when Vivi noticed. He began to think up a crazy excuse but instead of telling her that he said, "I...I don't want you to see me like this Vivs...it's just so bad and painful." But knowing Vivian would want to see anyways, he unzipped his jacket and began to unwrap the bandage under. He wouldn't make eye contact with Vivi as he did so and when the wrap was all off his torso, he turned to show here the long cut that went from his shoulder to his side, and his side was where it was worst. He has a really deep and nasty sword slash wound and it was surrounded by bruises. His whole chest and stomach was covered in them.
He began to mutter things like "There were so many of them...you'd think after the Loki attack I could've taken them...they're Odin's guard so why would they be attacking me...I was just going to see Lea and they just ambushed me. I don't think they want the Norse civilization to move to America."

Vivi's eyes widened at the injuries and her worry increased. "Kyle, what happened?" She asked, then shook her head. "Never mind. You can tell me later. It's going to take more than just a bandage to get that healed. I doubt you want me taking you to one of the Eir(goddess of healing) kids, so come on. I've got something that will help."
She heard his muttering and stopped for a moment. "Kyle...just promise me you'll be more careful. And don't just say it to make me happy." I don't want to lose you a second time. She thought silently.

He winced as she started to guide him away and he almost tripped when she stopped. He looked at her, his grayish-blue eyes looking at her for a long moment before saying, "I promise."
[Flashback to when he last met with Odin] The Norse King of the gods looked down at his son Kyle and said, "If you can promise to keep away from those who are not going to be a part of this movement, then I can promise your safety when you come to council with us. However, if you should be seen or you reveal yourself to anyone that is not the Greek or your selected Norse child, then there will be no simple way to get to Asgard."
Kyle watched Odin quietly and when he finished he took a look around, "Where are your Valkyrie, I didn't see them when I came in and I've been meaning to talk to Lea."
Odin frowned and rumbled, "That is none of your business right now. I will send Lea to the temple when they are done with the mission I sent them off to do."
Kyle gave a deep bow, "Okay, thank you." He started to walk back toward the way out of the palace when he turned and said, "I promise not to be seen." Odin gave a nod and snapped his fingers and Kyle was back in the Temple and he pulled his hands out of his pocket, his fingers crossed. "I can't promise anything if Vivs comes back."
He pulled his hoodie back on with a shiver of pain and zipped it up and pulled the hood over his head. He wrapped his arm around Vivi for some support and then said, "It was the Valkyrie that did this."

Vivi gave a small nod, then led him on, moving slowly and carefully. They entered an empty room and once he was in a chair, said, "Be right back." She disappeared and came back a moment later with a damp cloth. She closed the door tightly and unzipped his hoodie. Being as gentle as she could be, she unwrapped the bandage and using the cloth, cleaned the cuts. She pressed lightly, hoping she was keeping it as painless as possible.

Kyle managed to hold in a cry of pain as she unwrapped his bandage. And when she started to clean the cuts he gritted his teeth, a few muffled noises coming through his closed mouth. He held out his hand and managed to say, "Think of any happy memory you've ever had and when you got it, grab my hand...please." As he was still his mother's son, he, like Xan, could see into the minds of anything he touched because of his mother's legacy to Vor, the all seeing and knowing goddess.

Vivi hated that it was hurting him but she had to get the cuts clean or they would get infected. Without looking up, she thought of the time they had danced in the rain and grabbed his hand with her free one. She knew what he was going to do and blocked out any other thoughts. "I'm sorry." She said softly, trying to finish as quickly as possible.

Kyle brought her hand up to his heart and became quiet as he fell into a strange state of consciousness.
Kyle led her towards the woods where no one would see them. The last thing they wanted was to get caught. They reached a small clearing, and Kyle pulled her close, wrapping his arms around. She shrieked as he lifted her up and twirled her around. Rain was dripping off of them, neither seemed to notice the weather. Kyle kissed her, pulling her as close as possible to him.
They danced around in the rain for several minutes, kissing, smiling, and laughing the entire time. "I don't want this night to end." She whispered. "Neither do I." He whispered back. "But we've gotta go in soon. If we're falling asleep tomorrow, people will get suspicous. And then we could never do this again." She gave a soft smile. "But we will do this again, right?" "How could we not?" He said, grinning again. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders, and they ran back to the cabins. They parted with a kiss and she reluctantly went inside, blowing him another kiss as she did. He playfully caught it, then pulled his hood up, and ran to his own. His memories then took over. Kyle entered his own cabin silently and closed the door very lightly behind him. He went over to his bunk and smiled, he had everything he needed and then some. He pulled his hood down and threw his soaked jacket by the fire. He stripped down, taking his soaked clothes off and did the same then slipped into sweats and a t-shirt. He leaned back against the wall and then noticed a slight glow on his pillow. Curious, he stood and grabbed the glowing parchment. His blue gray eye lightened with every line. It stated that gods had accepted his camp advancement list and it said that he could begin selecting candidates for the first High Council of Norse Demigods. He could barely contain himself; this night had been the best of his life. Everything could only get better.
A smile was brought to his resting face and he brought Vivi's hand up to his lips and kissed it. He placed her hand back over his heart and mumbled in his strange state. His body still tensed and his jaw still clenched when the cloth touched his skin, but it was much less noticeable that he was in pain.

She could sense him smiling but kept her eyes on what she was doing. She gently finished cleaning the last area, then laid the cloth down. "There. Just one more thing and then I can wrap it back up." She pulled a small container out of her bag and "This won't be as bad." She promised, and finished applying it. "I'll need my other hand for this." She said with a slight grin and then wrapped the cuts up with a new bandage. "We'll need to change the bandage probably once a day, but it won't be anywhere near as painful, as long as you keep it clean. Does it still hurt?"
