Cory frowned, "Then I don't want to know, really. I don't."

"Cory, it's good news. Really, it is." If you look at it from a certain perspective anyway. She thought.

Cory took a small step back before biting his lip, "What did she say?" He demanded. "What did my mother say about me at the solstice?"

Anabelle glanced at Valerie for a moment, before turning back to Cory. She would rather have had Nyx explain, but Cory was demanding an explanation. "She and the other gods are offering you a chance to train at Olympus." She shrugged. "It's all the what ifs I'm worried about. And the gods never offer gifts without strings attached."

Valerie looked at the ground and acted like she was to into the music to pay attention.

Cory didn't respond for a while he started to say something then turned and muttered something inaudible in some foreign language. He turned back to her and said, "I'm not taking that, no matter what they offer. I can't train with them on Olympus because they will push me too far. They only want a reason to send me to Hades. I know it. They think I'm powerful enough to overthrow them. So they know if they push me too far, I'll destroy Olympus." He shook his head and said, "No, their training is not ment for me. Neither is the Camp's I need to go somewhere else to train. No Greek can understand the power struggle I have with myself right now, and they never will...but...." He started to close his eyes, thinking aloud as he does when he's too stressed.

Anabelle just put her arms around him, seeing he was getting stressed out. "The gods aren't always the smartest ones around. Maybe you have the power, but it doesn't mean you have the reason. Of course with this, they now seem to want to be giving you a reason." She knew if the gods did turn completly against him, she'd still take his side. She knew who he really was better than any of them did.

Valerie just stared at Cory in amazement then turned away.

Cory ran his hand through his blonde hair, which was now about a medium length. He put an arm around Anabelle in a thank you gesture and gave her a small kiss on the head.
River walked in, circles under his eyes from sleeplessness since Todd's death. He shook his head and started to jab his sword into the dumbies out of pure anger. He glanced over at Cory, Anabelle, and Valerie and rolled his blue eyes before returning to "training."

(Yes! Something I can post in!)
Alex walked in, his shorts wet on the ends from the beach. He shook sand out of his blond hair, and noticed the group. "Hello.." He greeted quietly.

She leaned against him a little, glancing over at River for a moment before turning back to Cory. She heard Alex walk up. "Hey Alex."

River glanced over at Alex and calmed himself. He put away his sword and put on a smile before heading toward them.
Cory looked up and grinned, "Well if it ain't old Alex Crossley. Whats up?"

Alex shrugged. "Well, if you want to be literal, there's the sky, clouds and all flying creatures. If you want to be social, nothing much." He grinned, glancing at everyone.

Cory grinned and laughed, "Hey, don't you go stealing my lines! What business do you have in the arena?"
River muttered, "You don't own the place Cory, he can come to train you know."

Anabelle laughed, then gave River an odd look, but didn't say anything. The two never seemed to get along.
